Basketball & Cheerleading

(Grades K4-6th / Ages 4-12)

 

Are you considering a sports program for your child?

 

Sports are a great way for children to learn about teamwork, respect for authority and sportsmanship. The sad part is all those things are being lost in today’s sporting society. With BFWC sports, these key essentials are included to create the best sporting experience for every child that participates. Each BFWC Sport is designed to reveal the winner in every child.  Every child plays. Every child learns. Every child IS a Winner!

 

By providing an evaluation system that promotes equal teams and opportunities, establishing a one-hour practice and game each week, implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time and creating the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game the emphasis is placed on having fun and good sportsmanship, not the scoreboard and standings.

 

Our winter season runs from Mid November through the beginning of February. Evaluations begin in October and practices begin in November.  Online registration is available.  Practices are once each week in the evening for an hour, followed by game day on Saturday. The season concludes with a special Sports Celebration for all participants and parents. Registration cost is $60 per player.  The cost includes a basketball Jersey / cheer uniform, scripture learning tools, trophy and more! 

 

EVALUATIONS and ORIENTATIONS:

 

Everyone MUST attend one basketball or cheerleading evaluation.  Evaluations will take place at BFWC as follows:
 

• Monday, October 14th (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

• Tuesday, October 15th (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

• Thursday, October 24th (6:00 pm - 8:00 pm)

 

PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

 

• RED CARPET NIGHT will take place on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at 7 PM. This will be the night parents & athletes will learn what team they are on, meet their coach and receive specific instructions regarding BFWC's Sports Program.
   

• CHEER CLINIC will take place on Saturday, November 16th. All cheerleaders are required to be in attendance.
   

• PRACTICES will take place weekly on Mondays, Tuesdays & Thursdays

beginning the week of November 11, 2019.

 

• GAMES will will take place on Saturdays and will run for six weeks.
